A second fatal accident in Thilafushi today

A motorcycle lost control in Thilafushi and fell in to the sea and the local driver has died with head injuries.

The accident was reported to the Police at 1:39 p.m. ADK doctors have confirmed the man’s death to the Police.

The two people injured in this accident were taken to the hospital in a Police speed boat.

Earlier today, a foreigner working in Thilafushi died stuck between a forklift and an excavator. In this incident that took place around 12:15 today, a Maldivian was taken to the hospital unconscious while the foreigner was dead on arrival at the hospital.

The two unrelated incidents in Thilafushi today are being investigated by the Police.
