Police says they are not stopping any boats coming to Male’ City.

They said the Marine Police is inspecting boats regarding safety and registrations but they are not preventing any boats from coming to Male’.

People are coming from all over the country to Male’ City to take part in the MDP-JP rally today.

The joint press issue from Police and the Military says they would take steps against the people coming in from the atolls to take part in the protest if they act outside the law. And the security forces will disband the rallies if they feel the peaceful nature of the demonstration is lost.

The security forces say that will not allow any disruptions to the public peace in the press release last night.
